A Tuscany tour unlike most featuring Maremma - the relatively unknown and "hottest" new destination in this most popular region is characterized by lush landscapes, nature preserves, pine forests, beaches and tiny coves. The home of the Tuscan cowboys today more than ever the Maremma is the perfect choice for the seasoned traveler. Maremma will provide new experiences as we make our way though the south western part of Tuscany touching upon ancient towns not yet household names even in Italy.

The origins of this land, like its wines, date back to ancient Greece. During the course of this tour, we will do our best to explore both. Naples, the start of our journey, will provide a wonderful introduction to the spirit, customs, food and wines of Campania; the many contrasts of Naples, its beautiful castles and piazzas juxtaposed against the little narrow streets of Spaccanapoli will lead the way to the so called "strada del vino" (road to the wine). Using Sorrento as our base, we will venture along this wine journey, stopping now and again to appreciate the wholesome goodness of buffalo milk products and the flavorful olive oil. As is our trademark, the restaurants are award-winning establishments providing wonderful meals that beautifully complement the local wines. A day trip to Capri and an optional extension to Procida and Ischia are a fitting end to this wonderful program. More Info »

Although nowadays in most cases one does not need to literally climb, it is indeed a fact that most ancient Umbrian towns are perched high up on hilltops, within massive protective "walls". Orvieto, the lovely home of Umbria Jazz Winter 13 is no exception.More Info »
